In addition to in store presentation, we actively market and promote each accepted item across a broad network of trusted channels. Select handbags and accessories are featured in curated posts, social highlights, and targeted campaigns, allowing each item to reach a nationwide and international audience. This multi channel approach increases visibility, supports thoughtful pricing, and helps position each piece for strong resale performance.


📋 Consignment Terms

🤝 Standard Split:
Our standard consignment split is 50/50 for most luxury handbags and accessories.

💎 Premium Split:
Items with an original retail price of $5,000 or more may qualify for an elevated 65% consignment split, based on brand, condition, and current market demand.

💰 Minimum Value:
We accept luxury handbags and accessories in excellent condition with an original retail value of $1,000 USD or higher. This allows us to maintain a high quality assortment while protecting value for our consignors and buyers.

To begin the consignment process, please email multiple clear photos of your handbag to:

📄 Required Documentation:

To comply with intake and City of Scottsdale requirements, all consignors must provide:

  • A valid Driver's License or Passport
  • Proof of purchase, when available (receipt, email confirmation, boutique card, order history, etc.)

🔍 Authentication Fee:
If proof of purchase is not available, we can authenticate your item through our AI-enhanced authentication process for a $25 fee per handbag.

Once submitted, our team will review your photos, confirm eligibility, and walk you through the next steps of intake, authentication, and pricing.


💵 Buy-Out Option

For clients who prefer an immediate payout rather than consignment, we also offer a buy out option for select luxury handbags and accessories.

  • Begins with the same photo submission process used for consignment
  • Final pricing depends on brand, condition, demand, and current market value
  • While consignment typically delivers higher overall returns, a buy out may be the right choice for those who prioritize speed and simplicity

🔒 Important: Initial photos allow us to assess eligibility, however all items must be reviewed in person before any final offer is made. Every buy out item undergoes our full authentication process, including advanced analysis and expert review. Payment is issued only after the item has been physically inspected and fully validated.

📋 What to Include:

Please include the brand or maker if known, approximate age, condition, dimensions, original retail price if available, and any relevant background information.

Once we receive your submission, our team will review it and typically respond within 48 hours. If items are accepted, we will provide next steps and delivery guidance. If an item is not the right fit for our store, we will let you know promptly.


📊 CONSIGNMENT POLICY AND PRICING

✅ Once Items are Accepted

If your items are approved for consignment, we will follow up by email with delivery instructions and a list of recommended delivery companies. These companies operate independently of Lost & Found Resale and are fully insured. We encourage consignors to confirm pricing and availability directly at the time of booking.

🚚 Delivery fees are the responsibility of the consignor.

🤝 Consignment Terms

Lost & Found Resale offers a standard 50/50 consignment split of the final selling price under a 90-day consignment agreement.

Pricing is determined by our team based on condition, brand, demand, and current market trends. All accepted items are photographed, styled, and displayed in store and promoted across our sales channels.

Consignment contracts and inventory records are handled digitally and sent via email once items are received.

⚠️ Quality Standards: We reserve the right to decline items that do not meet our quality, condition, or style standards. All items must be clean, in good working condition, and free of strong odors, structural damage, or excessive wear.

Items that arrive in a condition materially different from what was submitted during review may be declined at intake.

⏰ Post-90-Day Options:

If items remain unsold at the conclusion of the 90-day consignment period, consignors may choose from the following options:

  • 📦 Item Retrieval: Items may be picked up by the consignor.
  • 🎖️ Charitable Donation: Items may be donated on your behalf to a veterans charity we partner with.

📅 Important: Items must be collected by day 97. Any items not retrieved by that date will be donated or absorbed into inventory at our discretion.

🔄 Extension and Adjusted Split (Subject to Eligibility):

If you communicate with us prior to the 97th day, and based on an item's performance and current market interest, we may, in select cases, offer a one-time extension of the consignment period for up to an additional 30 days.

When an extension is granted, the consignment split will adjust to 65/35, in favor of Lost & Found Resale. Extensions are offered at our discretion and are not guaranteed.

💰 Pricing Structure

We aim to price items at approximately 30 to 50 percent of original retail value, taking into account condition, brand strength, and current market demand. When original retail pricing is unavailable, pricing is determined using our proprietary AI-driven pricing engine, which leverages internal sales data dating back to 2012, along with current market conditions and comparable resale performance for similar items.

✅ Condition and Acceptance

All items are evaluated upon arrival to ensure they meet our quality, condition, and presentation standards. If an item does not align with these expectations, we reserve the right to decline it and will notify the consignor accordingly.

If an item meets our acceptance criteria but requires cleaning upon arrival, a $25 cleaning fee per item will be applied and deducted from the consignor's account.

💳 Additional Fees and Discounting Policy

A 3% credit card processing fee is applied to purchases made using a credit card.

As outlined in our consignment agreement, items may be eligible for strategic price adjustments based on performance and market conditions.

📦 Shipping Handbag(s)

Shipping rates are automatically calculated at checkout based on the item type, weight, and destination. Our system uses the exact shipping rules set in Shopify (Economy, Standard, and Express) so the correct rate is applied instantly for each handbag, small leather good, or accessory.

💼 How Do I Consign My Handbag?

If you would like to consign a handbag with Lost & Found, please begin by emailing clear photos of the inside and outside of the bag to INFO@LOSTANDFOUNDRESALE.COM. Include shots of the front, back, hardware, interior, date code/serial number, and any accessories that came with the item.

📄 Required documentation from all consignors:

  • Valid government-issued ID (driver's license or passport)
  • Proof of purchase, when available (receipt, boutique card, online order confirmation, etc.)
  • Your contact information for intake records

Once your information and images are received, we will review eligibility and schedule intake.

📥 When you drop off your handbag, we will:

  • Log the item into our system
  • Provide you with a receipt documenting the item(s) left in our possession
  • Secure it immediately in our storage vault, where all items remain while undergoing authentication
  • Move it to our locked glass showroom only after authentication is complete

✅ After authentication is complete, we will:

  • Establish accurate pricing based on brand, condition, market demand, and comparable sales
  • Prepare your custom consignment contract for review and signature
  • Professionally photograph the item
  • List it across our selling platforms

  • Allows us to maintain accurate security records for every item handled

🔐 Our viewing process:

  • Once ID is verified, a staff member will remove the requested item from the case
  • Staff supervises the entire viewing process
  • Handbags may only be handled inside the showroom, under staff supervision
  • Items never leave the secure viewing area

  • These items are not brought out for standard viewing
  • They remain secured in our storage vault
  • Available for review under special arrangements or by appointment, at our discretion
